ACTEL IS CURRENTLY REDESIGNING THE RH1020 TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION OF THE SDI AND DCLK PINS. THIS DESIGN CHANGE WILL BE IMPLEMENTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND CUSTOMERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AT A LATER DATE OF THE APPLICABLE DATE CODES ONCE THE REDESIGN IS IN EFFECT. ALL DEDICATED I/O PINS FUNCTION NORMALLY AND CAN BE USED AS INPUTS, OUTPUTS, TRI-STATE OR BI-DIRECTIONAL BUFFERS. SCENARIO 1: DESIGN HAS 65 I/OS OR LESS SOLUTION: AVOID THE USE OF ALL FOUR SPECIAL PINS 61-64 (SDI,DCLK,PRA AND PRB). METHOD: AFTER SELECTING THE DEVICE SETUP WIZARD, SELECT THE RESERVE PROBE PINS RADIO BUTTON IN THE DEVICE VARIATIONS POPUP. BY SELECTING THIS OPTION, DESIGNER WILL NOT USE ANY OF THE SPECIAL PINS UNLESS YOU HAVE SPECIFIED GREATER THAN 65 I/O PINS. SCENARIO 2: DESIGN HAS 66-69 I/OS SOLUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE TWO SPECIAL PINS 61 (SDI) AND 62 (DCLK) ARE INPUTS ONLY. METHOD: WITHIN THE PIN EDIT TOOL, PRE-ASSIGN AND FIX I/OS IN THE DESIGN THAT ARE INPUTS ONLY TO PINS 61 (SDI) AND 62 (DCLK). ONCE THIS IS COMPLETE, DESIGNER CAN AUTOMATICALLY ASSIGN THE REST OF THE I/O PINS.
