pASIC1 QL24x32B Heavy Ion Test

July, 1998

Test Results Summary

A heavy ion test was run on the Quicklogic QL24x32B Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA).  This device is produced on a 0.65 um bulk process and uses a channelled architecture, with an amorphous silicon antifuse.

Run Name:    BNL0797

Part #:           QL24x32B

Package:       PQFP208

Run #    File Name     Bias(V)     LET           Flux           Latch
                               (MeV-cm2/mg) (ions/cm2/sec)

  17      KIT11T1       5.5       18.6           1.3E4            Yes

232 MeV Ti-48 was used with the beam normal to the part.  This beam had a range of 48.7 microns.

The device immediately latched, with the current consumption tripping the power supply's 800 mA programmed limit.
