International Astronautical Congress (IAC)

The History section of the International Academy of Astronautics is sponsoring four sessions at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Valencia, Spain, on October 2-4, 2006. It is seeking proposals for papers on the history of space science, technology & development, rocketry, personal memoirs, and the history of astronautics in Spain. The entire spectrum of space history, at least 25 years old, is covered.

This is a large international meeting with symposia in 26 major areas relative to space science and technology with 128 sessions (including double sessions). Each symposium falls under one of 5 categories: Science & Exploration, Applications & Operations, Technology, Infrastructures, and Space & Society. The history sessions are a part of the "Science & Society category.
