Abstract
The SpaceWire seminar will provide an in-depth study of the SpaceWire standard along with practical considerations for designs. Recent work by the SpaceWire working group will be presented, which compliments the existing standard allowing standardized method for upper level protocol development. Theoretical and real applications for SpaceWire will be discussed as well as some recently developed protocols for these applications. A group of “hot topics” will be addressed, which have implications for current and future implementations. A brief description of how SpaceWire is part of CCSDS will be presented. Concluding with the most recent work on a higher-rate version of SpaceWire called SpaceFibre that will bridge between the existing standard and a Gigabit physical level.Logistics
